Message from Commercial and Engineering Update
Having settled into my new role within AP Hydraulics as Commercial and Engineering Director, I would like to take the opportunity to share with you some of the changes we are implementing within our expanding business, in order to improve our technical and commercial support.
Regarding Core Engineering, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Trevor Long into the role of Engineering Manager. Trevor has 28 year of extensive Automotive Engineering experience and will join us most recently from the Bentley part of the VW group effective, to start at the beginning of August.
We have also appointed two new process engineers. Mr Waleed Ahmed and Mr Mark Russell who will add additional resource to our engineering group and will be in place mid June 2004.
Considerable new capital investment in in-house test equipment and marketing of our extensive laboratory will continue over the coming months and complimented with a major CAD upgrade.
We are also making changes within Commercial support.
Mr Mike Jones will lead our business development activity with the full support of the AP Hydraulics team.
Mr Andrew FitzPatrick will leave at the end of May 2004 to pursue outside interests (to which we wish him well) and will be replaced by Mr Andrew Lording, again an Automotive professional, who is already in place and undergoing training.
We have now met Ford Q1 requirements and awaiting accreditation. This together with TS16949 and ISO14001 shows our commitment to our chosen industry. We will be the niche braking development supplier of choice for complete braking systems, including ABS, to our existing and expanding customer base.
Shortly, we will be requesting the opportunity to make a detailed presentation regarding our new 5 year rolling business plan to include our expanded capabilities and new business targets.
We trust that you will agree that AP Hydraulics are stepping up to the challenge of providing the investment and support necessary to succeed in the challenging Automotive market.
